A full car respray is a significant undertaking. Done properly, it can transform a car that has faded, been poorly repaired previously, or been resprayed in the wrong colour. At KITH Bodyworks in Hackbridge, we offer full vehicle resprays across three levels of preparation and finish.

The Budget level involves masking door handles, rubber seals and hinges rather than removing them. The finish is clean and presentable. At close inspection, particularly along panel edges and around handles, masking lines will be visible. This level is appropriate for commercial vehicles, older daily drivers being prepared for sale, or vehicles where presentation matters but perfection does not.

The Standard level removes everything. Door handles, wing mirrors, rubber seals, bumpers, hinges. Every panel edge and door shut face gets proper preparation and topcoat coverage. The result is close to what the vehicle looked like when it left the factory and will hold up well over time. This is the recommended level for most customers.

The Premium level uses the same process as Standard but with additional preparation stages, extra time spent flatting and inspecting between coats, and closer attention to every detail of the finished surface. It adds 20% to the Standard price. This is the appropriate level for classic cars, vintage vehicles, and high-value prestige vehicles where the investment in the vehicle justifies the additional care.

Preparation matters more than any other variable in the quality and longevity of a respray. Paint applied over contamination, surface rust or poor primer will begin to fail through peeling, lifting or bubbling relatively quickly. Our preparation process includes stripping any defective existing paint, rust treatment where needed, and multiple sealing and priming stages before the topcoat goes on.

Colour change resprays are available at the standard rate. When changing colour, the door shuts, boot aperture and engine bay are resprayed to match the exterior at no additional charge. Without that, the old colour shows in the door shutlines every time a door is opened.
